TIGER CATS August 07 2008 Argos 21 Hamilton 45 Attendance: 17,000 It
was August 7 as we made our way to Ivor Wynne Stadium to watch the
rivalry between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Toronto Argonaut
unveil. We went to the stands to take pictures and watch the

Then we were allowed back in the stands and the "Barber Shop Choir" sang O Canada while the big flag was unravelled. Then the game began, by Vanderjagt kicking off to Ticat Tre Smith. With Casey Printers out on an injury, Richie Williams would play the whole game. In the first quarter Nick Setta kicked a 23-yard field goal. Toronto got a touchdown thanks to Kerry Joseph, the starting quarterback for that day. Then Vanderjagt kicked a 17-yard field goal. In the second quarter Robert Pavlovic caught the Tiger-Cats' first touchdown pass of the season. There was 17,000 fans in the stadium that evening and they were as excited as the players at the touchdown. CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO OF THE TI-CAT TOUCHDOWN In the third quarter the Ticats scored a touchdown in their first possession. It was scored by Richie Williams giving Terry Caulley a 3-yard pass. Toronto scored another touchdown with Jamal Robertson and in the fourth quarter Richie threw a 63-yard pass to Chris Bauman. Toronto got another field goal. The
final score was 45-21 in favour of the Tiger-Cats. Fans left
happy as the Ticats finally broke the streak of losing to the Argos in
Ivor Wynne Stadium. |
