HAMILTON TIGER CATS
vs
Toronto Argonauts

August 07 2008

Argos    21              Hamilton    45

Attendance: 17,000

It was August 7 as we made our way to Ivor Wynne Stadium to watch the rivalry between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Toronto Argonaut unveil.  We went to the stands to take pictures and watch the players warm up.
But then there was a weather warning which was for lightning and everyone had to leave the stands.

So then we played a spin the wheel game and I won  some chips.  Then we were allowed back in the stands and the "Barber Shop Choir" sang O Canada while the big flag was unravelled.  Then the game began,  by Vanderjagt kicking off to Ticat Tre Smith.

With Casey Printers out on an injury, Richie Williams would play the whole game.  In the first quarter Nick Setta kicked a 23-yard field goal.  Toronto got a touchdown thanks to Kerry Joseph, the starting quarterback for that day.  Then Vanderjagt kicked a 17-yard field goal.

In the second quarter Robert Pavlovic caught the Tiger-Cats' first touchdown pass of the season.  There was 17,000 fans in the stadium that evening and they were as excited as the players at the touchdown.

In the third quarter the Ticats scored a touchdown in their first possession.  It was scored by Richie Williams giving Terry Caulley a 3-yard pass.  Toronto scored another touchdown with Jamal Robertson and in the fourth quarter Richie threw a 63-yard pass to Chris Bauman.  Toronto got another field goal.

The final score was 45-21 in favour of the Tiger-Cats.  Fans left happy as the Ticats finally broke the streak of losing to the Argos in Ivor Wynne Stadium.
