Hilary Duff comes to Hamilton again!!
Friday January 21 2005

A friend brought me to a Hilary Duff concert, and that’s how I’m bringing this to you, if you went there or not.

Because of the new rule at Copps, Elyse’s (my friend) mother stood around just outside the show, except for when she should just inside the door.  There was an enourmous crowd, and (I think) the merchandise (glowsticks, autographed pictures, shirts, etc.) were all over-priced.

We got into the show, waited 5 minutes, and then some guy, who probably thought he was so cool, came in and started swishing records to various songs, and being very annoying because he kept making us yell at him. This went on for about half an hour, and then we had to wait for 15 more minutes while the stage was being set up.

Then the lights went down.  My first impression was that 8 out of 10 people bought glowsticks, because all these glowing green, yellow, blue, and the occasional pink lights were waving all over.

She sang (of course; what else was she supposed to do?) her songs, two of which I knew.  When she finished her ‘last song’, she came back and sang ‘My Generation’(which is originally by the Who, by the way) and another a song. Then she really was finished.

When we left, I was squashed and feeling rather shorter than usual because it was a human traffic jam, -17 degrees and windy, that it was.
